Taj Burrow Wins 2009 Billabong Pipeline Masters Defeating Kelly Slater

Taj Burrow defeated Kelly Slater in the final day to win the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing and Billabong Pipeline Masters. Burrow has claimed the 2009 Billabong Pipe Masters, defeating fellow Finalist Kelly Slater in clean three-to-five foot waves at the Banzai Pipeline.

Joel Parkinson was the Vans Triple Crown Winner.  Nixon put on the “expression session” prior to the finals with many of the past Pipe champs surfing including: Gerry Lopez, Rory Russell, Derek and Michael Ho, Bruce and Andy Irons, Rob Machado and Jamie O’Brien.
